OTHER RECOMENDATIONS

Cat scratching posts are necessary!

It’s important to provide cats with appropriate scratching surfaces to prevent them from damaging furniture or other household items. This may include scratching posts, cardboard boxes, or other objects that are designed to withstand your cat’s claws and provide a satisfying scratching experience.

When choosing a scratching surface for your cat, it’s important to consider their preferences. Some cats prefer vertical scratching posts, while others prefer horizontal surfaces. Some cats may also prefer different textures, such as carpet, sisal, or cardboard. Experimenting with different types of scratching surfaces can help you find the ones that your cat likes best.

Provide scratching posts or surfaces near resting areas and high-traffic pathways. Provide multiple scratching surfaces, spray it with a simple Catnip spray or use Silvervine/Catnip powder.

When your cat uses the appropriate scratching surface, be sure to provide positive reinforcement. This can include treats, praise, or playtime with their favorite toys.

If you don’t want to let your kitten sleep with you, never let her do it from the beginning.

If your kitten starts jumping on a kitchen counter just put aluminum foil on the counter for a few weeks.

Please spend time with your kitten every day, play and talk with him, kittens are just babies, and like all kids they love to play. So, play with your baby every day, and you will be best friends quickly.

Check your kitten’s ears regularly

Check your kitten’s ears regularly for any signs of dirt, wax buildup, or irritation, and clean them gently if needed.

Brush Your Cat’s Teeth 🪥

Dental care is essential for your cat’s overall health. In fact, around 80% of cats will develop dental disease by the age of 3. If left untreated, it can lead to serious health problems—including chronic inflammation, kidney disease, and heart disease—which can even shorten your cat’s life.

Ideally, you should brush your cat’s teeth daily, but brushing once a week is a more realistic goal for most cat owners.

Most cats need time to get used to having their teeth brushed. Start by placing a flavored pet-safe dental gel or treat on the toothbrush and letting your kitten lick it off. Gradually work up to gently touching their teeth with the brush over time.

Patience and consistency are key—starting this habit early will help your cat tolerate (and maybe even enjoy!) regular brushing.

Trimming your cat's nails

It is necessary to clip your cat’s nails regularly. Routine nail trims protect your cat from painful ingrown nails and help to protect your furniture. Getting into the habitat of nail trims when your cat is just a kitten will make the task easier throughout life, and choosing the right cat nail clippers will help ease the job.

Please read this information, it’s important!

Doors and washing and drying machines are the most dangerous things!

Be careful when you close doors, kittens love to explore, and they move very quickly.

Always check your washing/drying machine before you put in clothes because kittens love to sleep there...
